5 Steps to buying a Home
  1. Get Pre-Qualified - Call me and I can help you arrange financing and discuss down payment options. I can put you in contact with a mortgage representitive who can pre-qualify you (usually over the phone - it takes about 10-15 minutes) and at rates below normal posted bank rates. The advantage to you is that you will know exactly how much you can afford to spend and when you find the right place you’ll know you qualify
  2. Tell me what you like - Tell me the features that you would like to have ie: number of bedrooms, number of bathrooms, age, location and when you would like to move. (As a rough guide line, usually you can move in 4 to 6 weeks after you find a place, although that can vary.)
  3. Let me show you properties - I will take you out and show you the properties that best meet your needs and wants. I will show you between 3 and 5 properties at a time (which takes about 1½ to 2 hours) and provide you with tour sheets so you may make notes on what you like and dislike. Going out once or twice a week, we should be able to find you a place within 2 weeks.
  4. Write an offer - I will provide you with comparable sales information, help write the offer with the appropriate subjects (financing, inspection, bylaws, etc) and help negotiate the best possible price for you.
  5. Move In - Congratulations you are now a home owner! Start enjoying your new home and the fact that you are wise enough to not keep paying someone else's mortgage with your rent.
